Ms. Sharpe has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a concentration in magazine article writing from Temple University. She first flexed her writing muscles while working as a correspondent for the Northeast Neighbors and Bucks County Neighbors sections of the Philadelphia Inquirer Newspaper. She has worked as a free-lance writer and has written feature articles which appeared in the Philadelphia Daily News, The Chestnut Hill Local and the Mt. Airy Times Express Newspapers.

Ms. Sharpe also has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and has worked as an elementary school teacher for more than 20 years. She has been a member of Kappa Delta Pi (an international education honor society) for over 20 years, is an active member of the Urban League Guild of Philadelphia, and was a member of the Urban League Young Professionals for two years before joining the guild. She is a member of a long-standing Baptist church in West Philadelphia and was a dedicated member of both the Mt. Olivet Inspirational Choir and later (for several years) of the Mt. Olivet Tabernacle Choir until the choir was dissolved after the choir director's death. She currently sings with the Cosby Memorial Singers. Ms. Sharpe is an avid reader and student of The Word.

Three public television segments entitled: “Poems to Ponder with Ronda F. Sharpe” which featured some of Ms. Sharpe’s poetry with a brief talk on a spiritual topic, aired on Channel 35 WYBE and on the Mindtv website from the fall of 2008 – summer 2010 in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and the lower part of Maryland.

Ms. Sharpe has also been interviewed on the following radio programs: “The Electric Magazine” on WURD 900 AM, “The Elements of Inspiration” on WIFI 1460 AM and “Poetic Praise” on 800 AM.
